Frequently Asked Questions
I have never surfed before, can I join?
Yes our coaches are there to keep you safe and build confidence in the water, whilst having fun and learning new skills.
Can I bring my own surfboard?
Yes, if you have a board you are welcome to bring it. We will always have one of ours on hand if you need it.
What happens if the waves are too big or conditions are not suitable?
We are always checking the conditions and making sure it is safe to operate classes. If we think it is not safe to operate we notify participants that the session has to be postponed. We will make up any missed sessions that we have to cancel at a later date.
How many lessons do I need?
Everyone is different but we recommend booking for at least 5 lessons. Surfing is fun at every level and we never stop learning. Some women treat Waves for Women sessions like a yoga session, mental health day or just to have a laugh and be around like minded people.
